Heart Chakra: Anahata in Sanskrit

Our chakras are our energy centers. They are vortexes of spinning energy that create who we are and what we do. The heart chakra, or Anahata in sanskrit, is the fourth primary chakra. It is located in the center of the chest, between the breasts.

The heart chakra centers around love, both self and outward bound and offers unconditional love and incredible emotional power. It governs the thymus gland and immune system, heart, lungs, breasts, arms, hands. Thymus gland procedures lymphocytes, control immune systems.

We lift darkness with love and light, and now, more than ever, the world needs good vibes. Today we're going to delve into the heart chakra, what it embodies, what signs of blockages are and how to unblock and open your heart chakra through meditation, mantra and movement.

THE HEART CHAKRA RELATES TO EMOTIONS SUCH AS:
Compassion
Empathy
Love
Forgiveness

It is also linked to the METAL ELEMENT in Yin Yoga based on the beliefs of Traditional Chinese Medicine - it is also related to the AUTUMN season.

AUTUMN EMOTIONS RELATE AROUND:
Letting go
Forgiveness
Cultivation of love & empathy

WHEN THE HEART CHAKRA IS OUT OF BALANCE WE MIGHT FIND BLOCKS CAUSED BY:
Emotional pain caused by bad memories
Old programming
Over thinking/working
Lack of empathy

WAYS TO UNBLOCK THE 4TH CHAKRA:
Unblock with positive affirmations related to love & healing:

I am open to love
I forgive myself and others
I love myself and all human beings
I have an open heart

Repeating these affirmation invites more love and compassion into your life.

HOW DO I OPEN MY HEART CHAKRA IN MINUTES?
Meditation for beginners
Find a comfortable place to be undisturbed.
Inhale through nose
Exhale through your mouth - repeat for a few minutes
Feel the body relaxing as you do this. Repeat the positive affirmations in your head or say them out loud.

One way I like to bring in a flow of good vibes into my body is through this ancient Hawaiian mantra which helps bring in love and forgiveness - unblocking stagnation in your heart chakra, and throughout your body. It is called Ho oponopono.

Repeat :
I'm sorry,
Please forgive me,
Thank you,
I love you
